keep on the sunny side

It's Friday. We have been taking our week slowly and simply. Play dates, walks, time outside, crafts, playdoh, staying close to home. It's been nice. Noah's preschool is out on Spring break, so we've been coming up with lots of ways to have fun.
I've been having a bit of anxiety about this coming Monday. On Monday, I'll be having all 4 of my wisdom teeth out, and really, I'm just not looking forward to it. I've actually been having nightmares about it. In the past I have had some difficulties with my teeth and with procedures done, so I think that's where my anxiety stems from, but I am trying to tell myself that it will be all okay. Mind over matter right? Oh and please save the horror stories ... thank you.
On the bright side, I'm looking forward to having Winslow home next week . He'll be taking over my duties and I will hopefully be recovering (quickly). I just can't wait for it to be all over with.
And so happy weekend. This afternoon we are heading out for a walk to the pond and creek. I'm not sure how far we'll get as the path is not paved and can be narrow at times, but this warm/sunny weather is calling my name and I need to get out and breathe some fresh air. (ps. we obviously made it there)

Happy things for today :
~ a lovely walk in the woods
~ beautiful rushing McIntyre Creek
~ hot chocolate on the front porch in the sun
~ sneaking Easter candy from my secret stash (every mama has a chocolate stash, am I right?)
~ sun on my face

(the cup she is drinking from was mine when I was a little one)

  2. I had my wisdom teeth taken out in third year University. They gave me Valium, and I was so stressed out and nervous about it that they actually gave me twice the amount they should have for my height and weight! In the end, although it was painful, my expectations and anxiety were a LOT worse than the reality! The worst part, actually, was the day they came out: my flatmates chose that night to order pizza. It was torture. Stock up on anything you can drink with a straw. xx
