Happy Monday from chilly and grey Whitehorse. Today is going to be a slow family day and I'm thankful for it.
Winslow has the day off and we have plans to go downtown to see some music in the park at lunch. It is one of the last weeks for it, I guess things are starting to slow down around here. The summer feels like it is drawing near the end. I've been noticing a few leaves here and there turning colour and the nights are getting chilly. Last night it went down to 5C.
August seems to be flying by so fast. The days just seem to weave in and out of themselves. We are busy and pack in as much as we can, knowing that this time that we are enjoying outdoors won't last forever. In a few weeks my sweet little boy will be turning 2. At the end of the month we will be going away for a much needed family vacation. Soon our thoughts will be turning to cozy sweaters, bon fires in the backyard, warm drinks like cider and more time spent indoors. But for now, August is full of excitement and adventure, and we are trying to soak it all up.
I hope this finds you well my friends. Happy Monday.
