lately...

Our days are busy lately. Long sunny days, parties and dinners hosted at our house, reuniting with friends after a long time without seeing each other, trips to the park and rides on the downtown trolley. We are in full on summer mode here and are enjoying each day to it's full potential.
Noah is a busy boy these days and is keeping his mamma busy. He's on the go all day long and is into make us laugh now. His words are coming along so quickly now and his understanding of the world around him advances more and more everyday. Somedays can be challenging with him. He is in this in between stage where he's not quite a boy yet but hardly a baby either. He gets frustrated easily and I have to remind myself daily that his littls brain is maturing and developing and that meltdowns are just part of him learning about the world around him.
In pregnancy news, my tummy continues to grow and I am now feeling our little girl bounce about inside of me...it's amazing! d I am reminded every time that I feel her, just how blessed we are to have her. I now catch myself imagining what life will be like in a few months with a new baby in the house. I'm excited and full of hope. It's pretty amazing.

Other little things that we have been enjoying...

:: fresh herbs and lettuce sprouts from my window box

:: delicious baguette sandwiches full of old cheddar cheese, tomato, avocado and fresh herbs

:: getting creative once again. Painting, gift making, ideas for the baby. I have so many ideas of what I want to make next, and Pinterest doesn't help the matter.

:: birthdays for little boys. We had so much fun at Jack and Aiden's joint 3rd birthday. It was at a train museum and the kids just loved the train ride and outdoor playground.

And lastly, happy 4th of July to all my American blogger friends. I hope you have a wonderful day celebrating your country today! I will be celebrating Independence day for the first time ever today. My friend Sarah and I are off to Skagway Alaska (yes, again!) to check out the festivities! I'm kinda excited!

Enjoy your lovely summer days, Jo. That avocado and tomato on baguette sounds perfect to me...
