kindred spirits

Thought I'd share one of my favourite photos from an engagement shoot that I did in Ottawa.

Sweta and I met by coincidence over 6 years ago in the library at Carleton University. We were both madly trying to get our applications ready for teacher's college and ended up helping one another with our letters of application. From there it was "love at first sight".

Right away Sweta and I just clicked. We both shared a love for things like brunch and picnics and tea and children's books. She had this happy positive energy that I loved and she still inspires me to this day. It was Sweta actually who turned me onto to blogging in the first place.

Since moving away from Ottawa (for both of us), Sweta and I have been able to stay in touch and often we pick up right where we left off last when we see each other. So you can imagine my excitement when she asked me to take engagement photos for herself and her lovely fiance Sean.

This summer Sweta and Sean will be getting married in Ottawa and then moving to Turkey for his job. I'm so excited for them and can't wait to hear all about their adventures and maybe receive a postcard from them.
