Last night I hosted a cozy little get your craft on party for a few girlfriends at my place.
Ahead of time I decided that we would try out two different tutorials that I had scouted out. The first was a poppy head band and the second was this flower badge pin.
The party went splendidly. By the light of the Christmas tree, we sat around the table, stitching and talking while enjoying yummy food and drinks like sushi, baked brie, marbled fudge, mulled wine and candy cane hot chocolate.
For me, it was fun to share on of my favourite pastimes with my friends-crafting and it was also neat to see some of my friends branch out and try something new. By the end of the night everyone had made something to keep for themselves or to give as a gift and I think it's safe to say that everyone left with something that they were proud of.
This party had been something that I had wanted to organize for a while now and I'm thinking it will definitely be repeated again, especially during this long Yukon winter that we have before us.
So tell me...have been getting crafty and making handmade things this season. Maybe you've been baking up a storm or sewing a frenzy? I'd love to hear and see what you've been up to.
