Outside my window...is darkness. It is almost 10 pm and I'm waiting for hubby to come home from his night shift.
I am thinking...of my family that is scattered all across this great country of ours. Missing my sisters. Thinking of my grandmother. Looking forward to a visit with my mama in April. I'm also thinking of all the things I have on my to-do list.
I am thankful for...all the quality time that I get to spend with Winslow and Noah. And for the opportunity that I have to stay at home with Noah.
I am wearing...a green Joe Fresh long sleeved shirt, a white T-shirt underneath, jeans and the gorgeous earrings that Winslow gave me for Christmas.
I am remembering...that each day is a gift and to live in the present (thanks Dawn).
I am creating...memories, experiences, routine for Noah. In other words, a happy childhood (I hope).
I am going...to finally go through our "stuff" and try to get rid of it. After watching that t.v. show hoarders, I got the immediate urge to get spring cleaning.
I am hoping...that someday I will know what a full night's sleep feels like.
On my mind...my sweet sweet baby. Always.
Noticing that...it doesn't get dark until 8pm. Longer days. More sunshine. More time outdoors.
From the kitchen...comes delicious smells. One of my favourites is coffee first thing in the morn. I'm also looking forward to having some hot cross buns for breakie! Yay for Easter treats like hot cross buns.
Around the house...there are a bunch of chores that need to be done. Vacuuming, sorting, organizing. An endless to-do list. It just feels so hard to get it all done when there is a little one who wants all of our attention.
One of my favorite things...is scooping up Noah after his nap and cuddling with him as he gathers his bearings.
A few plans for the rest of the week...a baby St. Paddy's day party tomorrow. Some doctor's appointments on Friday. More family walks.
This post was inspired by the lovely Tia at Christopher and Tia. Thanks Tia! xox
Look at all the exciting things happening to you, Johanna! Spending time with Noah and Winslow...the sunshine...getting ready for visits and spring. Happy times for you:)
ReplyDeleteLook how gorgeous you are mama -- I think I need to get down to the water too! In fact, I'm headed to our lake tomorrow for a playdate with my mama group, that'll do ^_^

ReplyDeleteAh! Thanks. Glad we've found each others blogs.
ReplyDeleteI too wonder what a full nights sleep feels like! And thank God for coffee. And also am digging the longer days. It's so wonderful to just plop outside with the kids and let them explore!
It is those little things that make life fantastic. Love the pictures of your little boy. He looks a sweetie. Nice thoughtful post.
