Are you a cranberry lover? Do you use heaps of it on your turkey at Thanksgiving and Christmas but think that it can only be used for those days?
If you're like me, you probably have a bag of frozen cranberries in the freezer, just waiting to be pulled out and used. I got inspired from here and made a yummy cranberry relish for our porkchops last night. Give it a go, it will certainly jazz up your dish. I think it would be good with chicken and of course turkey.
1 half onion
1-2 cloves garlic
2 tablespoons brown sugar
ground pepper
balsamic vinegar
frozen cranberries
a dash of montreal steak seasoning ( i love this stuff!)
Mix all together in a sauce pan over medium heat. Keep adding to the sauce until it is the consistency and flavouring that you like. Use a wooden spoon to crush the cranberries. Spoon over your meat (or tofu if you like it vegetarian).
ohhh..that sounds yummy!
