Happiness is my beautiful little girl. She is here and is absolutely just the sweetest little baby in the world. My heart is full of love and happiness, I feel blessed beyond anything.
Katia Eleanor Fe Rosolen Duyan arrived at 1am on Monday November 28th after a relatively easy, uncomplicated birth. My hopes came true and I was able to deliver her VBAC and surprised myself by not using any pain medications. I had the most wonderful support with me the entire time, Winslow and my dear friend Leanne who is a trained doula. They both stayed by my side and were just fantastic at keeping me focused and calm.
We are home now after a short hospital stay. I was more than ready to come back to our comfortable home (that is all Christmasy I might add). Hospital beds suck!
What else? Well big brother is doing just fine! He came to see his baby sister at the hospital and his first reaction and thoughts were to give her little tickles on her tummy. He went right up to her and said "tickle tickle". He has given her lots of kisses and gentle pats. Its so incredible how big and mature he seems. He truly is a wonderful Kuya now (big brother in Filipino).
That's it for now. We are just trying to settle into our new life. Getting into the groove of being a family of four. It's pretty amazing. I'm just so so so incredibly happy and am feeling like the luckiest girl in the world.
More soon! Thank you again for all the wonderful, kind and loving words, prayers and wishes that you have all left for us. They are all appreciated.
