vacation time

This morning, very early in the morning, we hit the beach with coffees and breakfast sandwiches in hand. It was our first sight of the ocean and to feel the cold salt water on my feet and smell the sweet salty air...it's was perfect. Every sense was touched. The sound of the waves crashing on the sand, the sight of the soft sand dunes. It was everything I had been dreaming of and hoping for.
We are here on P.E.I. for just one week and I have one thing that I really want to accomplish and that is to relax.
We have rented a beautiful and spacious farm house over looking a salt water river. It has a long wrap around deck where I plan on sitting while sipping my morning coffee everyday. We've been looking forward to this holiday so much and it's finally here!
So for the next week it will probably remain fairly quiet around here. I plan on spending as much of my time with my family making memories and spending time together.
I want to leave you with this picture taken at a family amusement park (Santa's Village) that we stopped at in New Hampshire. I had gone there many times as a little girl and it was such a joy for me to take Noah there too. This picture says everything to me about the feeling of being on vacation and taking a break from the normal day-to-day business.
Hope everyone is well.
