a little hello

A little hello from beautiful PEI!
It's been a wonderful trip so far with a stay at a lovely farm house over looking gorgeous Stanley River. We've been enjoying plenty of family time and the weather has been holding on for us which has allowed for 3 beach days so far. Today when we were down by the ocean, the waves were so big and so strong, we all enjoyed playing and looking for pretty treasures in the sand.
This trip has been a feast for the eyes too. I've been taking many pictures and Winslow has been wonderful at stopping on the side of the road when I see something that catches my eye. Yesterday we drove past the most gorgeous yellow farm house that had a huge field of sunflowers in front of it. It was just out of a picture book and I'm so glad that we stopped so that I could take photos.
For this trip down East, we invited Winslow's parents to come along with us (Noah's Lolo and Lola) and it's been so much fun showing them around the island. They have been a great help with Noah, which has allowed for me to take it easy and to not have to chase him around as much.
Here I am at 27 weeks and 2 days at the beach in North Rustico. As I have said, this trip has been really relaxing, but unfortunately not so good on my pregnant body. I've been very tired with a sore back and very sore feet lately. I'm trying to do what I can, but really I've been feeling pretty exhausted from carrying around the extra weight of the pregnancy and from trying to keep up with my busy boy. I guess that just comes with the territory of being pregnant a second time.
Well I'm off to bed now dear friends. Must rest up before another busy day on the island.

  3. Wow. Wow. Wow. That first picture.

Did you really get to stay in that house, or is that just a picture you snapped when Winslow had to pull over? It's so dreamy!

I have never been pregnant, so I don't know how exhausted you are, but I can't imagine. Hang in there -- that little girl will be worth it! :)

  4. I...am in love with that little yellow house. Absolutely in love! Your trip to PEI is looking incredible, and I'm so jealous! I've always longed to visit that...it makes me think of Anne of Green Gables, who I adored while I was growing up!

I'm happy to hear you're enjoying your trip...even if you're feeling a little off due to pregnancy! :)
