Today I am joining in with my friend Kerry as she kicks off her February I Love Series. Each day I will challenge myself to look for things that I love in my day and will take a photo to accompany my thoughts.
It's not always easy to see the beauty that is before ourselves and sometimes certain days can just seem down right down, but I'm hoping that this I love Series will help me to recognize all the wonderful things that I have in my life. To open my eyes to all that I have and all that I am blessed with.
So for today's I love I am saying that I love home. Yes, I love this place that I call home. Right now life seems a bit transient. Our extended family is living in other parts of this great country and we are living in a rental home but all that aside, right now home is Whitehorse and it is where my little family resides. Wherever Winslow and Noah are, that is home for me.
Today I woke up and I was back in Whitehorse. It took me a moment to adjust to the darkness and the quietness of it all but then as the sky slowly began to brighten I looked out my window in awe. The beauty of this place is like no other. The mountains, oh how I missed them. The endless space, endless trees, the mountains that reach up to the sky. Right now this is home and I am so lucky to have this experience.
So today I love my home.
What are you loving today?
