weekending

taken at 8:30 am from my back door
Lately we've been trying to get better from the sickness that took over our house hold the other week and we are trying to find pockets of time for rest in amongst the busyness that is taking place in our lives. The days are getting noticeably shorter with the sun coming up at around 9 am. It's getting colder but we still force ourselves to go out and be in the fresh air as much as we can. I am starting to worry that this winter will be a long one. Already I feel the effects of less sun light, I know we will be getting a SAD light to help with that.
People have told me that it is important to keep busy during the winter months and that for us is one thing that we won't have to worry about because life sure has been busy as of late. Between Wislow's work, my photography and craft sales and the holidays fast approaching, life has been busy busy, but a good kind of busy. There are dinners to be made, friends to see, projects to work on, yoga and swimming classes, story times and play times...it's a busy but beautiful life and I'm hoping that if we stay active and engaged, that we will also stay happy and content for the next few months.
This weekend has been a full one so far. Trips to town, Christmas bazaars, toy shop grand openings, a swimming class and a work dinner party...and that's just Saturday! Tomorrow we have church and then I have a photo session in the afternoon...my goodness!
Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend and that you are taking good care of yourselves.

  1. I think the lack of light would get to me. I find November hard to adjust my routine to because of the darkness. It must be so odd to have darkenss at 9am. I think you are marvelous to remain so positive. Life is what you make it, and you seem to work hard at enjoying it to the max.
