There is a joy and deep sense of gratitude that filling my heart these days...maybe it's how the stars are aligning, maybe it is a newfound sense of self acceptance and yearning for living a more authentic life...what ever it may be, I'm feeling thankful for so many things in my life and I just want to share all those things that are making me so happy....
:: today I had the most glorious nap with my little Noah. We lay together on the couch, him on my chest and we fell asleep while the sun kept making it's way lower and lower into the sky.
:: this evening I made it to my yoga class and had an uninterrupted hour of stretching, breathing and relaxing.
:: on the weekend I was surprised by my hubby with a morning all to myself. I slept and slept, something that I hadn't done in ages, while he took Noah out on some errands. When they returned he had bought groceries for breakfast and some beautiful yellow sunny flowers. It made my week!
:: on the weekend my good friend had everyone from our husband's work over for dinner and drinks. The food was delicious, the wine was a flowin', the company and conversation were lovely and the game was hilarious.
:: on Sunday I went to church with my good friend and her son. We spent the whole time in the play room with the little ones, but it was still nice to have some time with her to talk and catch up on life.
:: on Sunday afternoon I had an amazing family photo session with a great family. It was such an easygoing session and we all had such a blast. Plus the children were absolutely adorable. What more could I possibly ask for?
There are so many things to be thankful for aren't there? Right now as I type away here at my blog the air is heavily scented with the delicious smell of homemade bread. I'm even thankful that I had the time this afternoon to get it all ready. Yay for yummy food like the breakfast I had the other day. Blueberries, raspberries, kiwi, pomegranate, almond slivers and honey over plain yoghurt.
Hope you are having a beautiful Tuesday.

It's great to read how you are feeling. You have experienced the downs of being far from loved ones, but you've already made new friends and met new challenges in the short time you've been in Whitehorse. I love your attitude Johanna and the way you so often express gratitude for your life.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful hubby!
Also, that game looks like a lot of fun.
it sounds so good!
ReplyDeleteI have played that game before, and it's awesome! That breakfast looks delish (I smell a new notecard!)....and your hubby is so sweet for bringing you those beautiful flowers. Sounds like life in Whitehorse is treating you really well!
ReplyDeleteMy husband did the same thing. Last week he let me have a really really LONG nap and the two of them came back with yellow lilies. And then yesterday he took the kid for the WHOLE day. I didn't even know what to do with myself. I napped twice! Bliss. I love that statement..."living a more authentic life". I'm on that same path....or am trying to be.
ReplyDeleteSo lovely!
ReplyDeleteOh gosh.. I MISS going to yoga. I need it.
