day dreaming and planning ahead

Another "vintage" summer pic.

Just when I thought my summer was gonna, well, suck...things start to look up! You see before we found out that we are moving to the Yukon my summer was lined up according to all of the major political events that are taking place in Ontario. Since hubby is a police officer I knew that he was going to be in attendance of all the events taking place. G8 summit. G20 summit. The Queen.....basically my summer was going to involve an absent husband and lot's of time spent staying in one place. And because last summer was spent doing that same thing (I was huge and pregnant and in no ways allowed to travel anywhere) I thought I was going to go batty if this summer shaped up to be then same.
But then all of a sudden things got better!
My bestfriend's wedding in Montreal???...Bonjour!!!! Winslow's bestfriend's wedding in Vancouver???....yipeeee!!!!! A move to the Yukon???...you can't get much more excitement than that!!!!
I can't tell you how excited I am that we will be doing some traveling this summer. I have so many things I want to do and places I want to check out. In Montreal I want to go to the Tam Tams and check out the neighbourhood I used to live in and go to the market that I used to frequent. When we go to BC I'd like to visit here and here and here. Oh and here. And in the case of the Yukon, I'm just plain old excited to explore our new city when we get there.
If you are from any of these towns I'd love to hear about some of your favourite places to visit. Drop me a line.

  6. Just hopped here from Sarah's blog (Yukon Sarah) and I just wanted to say congratulations on a move to the Yukon! We have been living north of sixty for seven years, have lived in all three territories, and can say beyond a doubt that the Yukon is the best!! I hope your move goes smoothly.
