  2. My home is where my hubby and pets are. A nice warm place to come back to and unwind after a long day and enjoy all the good things in life.

  3. The animals and family in my house make it a home, no doubt. But more than that, it's the little things I do to the place that give it the "my own home" feel. Painting my bathroom what ever color I wanted (I chose a bright turquoise blue) definitely made my house feel more like my home. Smelling the salty sea air while creating the gardens around my house, made it feel more like home. Creating in a space that I've created, that's home to me.

  4. The people in the house make our home, but though we are not all family, we are a "family home". Knowing when people walk in to our house, and sigh... feel comfortable and relax.. that's when I know my house is a home. It is filled with laughter, jokes and yummy food.. that's our home.

  5. The sounds of my kids playing, singing, laughing. Being a family and being together...appreciating and loving the moments together in our home - that's what makes our house a home.

  6. Oh...that is an easy one for me...the sound of my kids laughing...I was having a really hard time feeling like my new house was our home until I came in the front door one day after being away all morning and hearing the sound of my husband playing with the kids and them laughing...I said to myself...it doesn't matter if this house doesn't "feel" like my house yet...it definitely feels like HOME!!!

  7. Drinking tea, lighting candles, snuggling under afghans, reading stories, aromatherapy with rosemary <3 So many things make my house feel like home!

(Oh, and I most definitely follow you!)

  8. Home is the place where I am the most comfortable, and where I can just be myself. Surrounded by the people and animals I love. It's where I can't wait to get to after a long trip, or a stressful day.

  9. What makes our house a home is our family and the memories we make and the experiences we share there. Coming home to a family that loves you after a long day at work makes it feel like home. Seeing the artwork or mementos like the cross stitch my mother made us in memory of our wedding or my son's mothers day gift that decorate our home, makes our house a home. It is not about the kind of house you have, how big or how small it is about what you make of it.

  10. Since going on this work adventure that has left me feeling a bit "homeless" at times I'd say that my hot hubby and cute kid make my house a home. And really...sounds lame but my stuff does too. When you move a lot...it makes me feel better to see my stuff so I can feel like there's a bit normalcy in my life.
