sun is shining

The sun is shining, the air is fresh and the world is a better place because of Noah. Today he is two weeks old. The time has just flown by. Some of it has been a bit of a blur. The first week was hard because I was recovering from the unexpected c-section and learning to nurse has had it's challenges but with each day it gets easier. We are navigating through this new venture called parenthood and with a lot of help from my mom and Auntie Sarah and one amazing husband, I feel that we are well on our way to having this baby thing down pat.

We have received some lovely gifts and cards lately in the mail this week and few thank-yous are in order. One of my dearest and oldest friends Liz who lives in England sent us some lovely gifts in the mail. An adorable elephant rattle and two sweet board books.

My cousin Julia and her husband Corey sent us a great bilingual book in English and Tagalog (Winslow's native language). We just love this as its hard to find anything in Tagalog and we hope for Noah to learn about his Filipino background.

Also our good friends Erine and Walt gave us some great mini board books that are perfect for toting around in the diaper bag! They have animals , trucks and all sorts of fun little books that will be perfect for little hands.

A lovely card and gift certificate from Michelle, Neal and Ava.....my we are lucky to have such thoughtful friends.
