summertime and the living is easy

A little sketch I've been working on over the past few days. It's my summer to-do list, a fun list of sorts. I decided that it would be an informal list of only fun things that I wish to accomplish, because summertime should be about fun right? Some things on my list include camping, sleeping under the stars, dipping my toes in the Pacific Ocean, picking up my paint brushes, hanging with friends and to collect pretty stones.
For the bunting design, I drew some flags and then left some empty spaces for the ones that I collaged. I looked through old magazines for interesting patterns and colours, cut them out and then glued them on. No matter how many times I see bunting flags, I just never grow tired of them and think they look sweet. I'm actually making a real one right now for Noah's birthday.
So how about you? What is on your summer to-do list? Will you be challenging yourself to try anything new?
Happy Tuesday dearest of dears :o)

  3. My plans are to not make plans. Or at least try not to get upset when plans change.

  4. What a sweet, sweet list! Family camping is on our list. Blueberry picking is on my personal one. The kids aren't old enough to pick blueberries at the farms near us. We've done strawberries before but never blueberries. Hmmm, I am thinking I might make a cute little list like this too. Thanks for sharing the idea!

  6. That is way cuter than any to do list I've ever made. I guess when it looks that pretty, you're probably more likely to look at it and follow through, huh? A great idea :)
