play!

I really truly think that if you want to know what the joie de vivre is all about that all you have to do is get down to the level of a child and watch them play. One look at a child's face while playing and you can see that so much joy comes from swinging on a swing or getting your hands dirty while playing in the sand. It's a reminder when watching a child play, to slow down and enjoy each moment for what it is. Not to worry about what's to come, but to live for the now.

  1. That's so true Johanna. They're in their own world with not a care! We seem to lose that ability, as we grow up, to turn off and enjoy time to just play for a while. Thanks for reminding me to do just that! What sweet forget-me-nots.

  3. Why is it such hard work to remember that and to do it as an adult? One of the things that I am striving to do is to nurture that in my kids and not quash it!
