Ah the life of a police family.
You may remember a while back that I asked for your advice on something that was weighing heavily on my mind. I wanted to share that news with you, but knew that we wouldn't have any definite answers for a while, so I waited on sharing any of it.
Well we are still waiting to hear back and to get all of our test results in, but I thought I'd share the little bit of news that we do have. Here it is....
We have accepted an offer through Winslow's work to make a transfer to the Yukon! Yes, the great white North! This was a big decision to make on our part. One that we talked about at great lengths because as most of you know, the Yukon is very far away and this will be a very big change for our family. For those that don't know where the Yukon is or don't get just how far away it is (for my American and International readers) I will explain it in relation to some American landmarks. Essentially we are moving from Buffalo, NY to Alaska! Yes- that far!
At the moment we don't have many details about the transfer, but we do know that it is in the midst of going through and we are hoping that by summertime we will be making the move. Of course things can change and plans can fall through, so we are trying not to get too excited until we have more definite details but I can't hold this back any more dear friends.
This opportunity, this adventure that is just on our horizon is keeping us all very excited and on edge. Almost all of our conversations are centered around this move and I'm so excited for all the possibilities that are before us. New friends (I'm thrilled to have made two friends up there already! Hi Sarah and Allison!), new inspiration, fresh air, gorgeous landscapes, new culture...there is so much to be excited about.
So that is our big news and I will be sure to let you all know more as we find out more.
Thanks so much for all of your support. Big changes are a comin' but for now we have to hurry up and wait.
