using my favourite cup for tea. watching the birds at the bird feeder. finding an oh so perfect treasure at a thrift shop. watching my baby boy fall asleep in my arms. day dreaming. going out for brunch. my red purse.
opening the mail box to find my magazine subscription, a catalogue that I ordered or better yet a hand written letter. talking to my mom on the phone. walks along the water. road trips. using a map (not map quest). bonfires.
the first sip of coffee in the morning. "stealing" a kiss from my husband. a fresh bouquet of sunflowers. patterned rain boots. cupcakes. picnics. driving with the windows down (in the summer).
love this post :) such beautiful photos!
ReplyDeletethanks Audrey!
ReplyDeleteHej Johanna,
ReplyDeleteJust stopped by to read your list. Love the picture of the boots, perfect. But Navajo saying grabbed me. So if you don't mind I am gonna add it to my collection.

Hello, Johanna. I am visiting you in the wake of Christina's love. Thank you for your list ~ it was like a breath of fresh air! I enjoy thrift store treasures, too. Not only are they are good price, but they always come with a story ~ real or imagined ~ and that is cool...
ReplyDeletei know... that mailbox can hold such simple, yet beautiful treasures.

ReplyDeleteAnd you've reminded me that I want to get a bird feeder.

ReplyDeleteps. I'm also trying to get back into the letter writing spirit of things -- I think I will find my self some pretty stationary and get to it!!

Oh I want those boots!!! :)
ReplyDeleteA wonderful list of sweet things. I love this one "finding an oh so perfect treasure at a thrift shop"...It is so me!!!
ReplyDeleteOh.... OH!! Oh, goodie!! I've found another kindred spirit. First, how could anyone not fall in love with someone who has polka dot galoshes and a white floaty skirt? Then, I read your list. We are alike in so many ways. As I read I kept grinning and saying, "Me, too. Me, too." I have a lipstick red purse I adore and I am completely addicted to magazines. My heart always leaps when I find one in the mailbox. The only thing better is a real letter. Oh, I'm with you, my new friend.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I just hung up with phone with my Mom before I sat down at the computer. It was our fifth conversation of the day.
