much better thank you

I almost don't know how to start this post because I feel so overwhelmed (in a good way) by the kindness and concern that everyone has shown me since I wrote this last post. I just want to say thank you so much for each bit of advice, each positive message that was left, each story you shared. I feel so lucky to have such supportive friends out there. Thank you.
I hope I didn't worry you, that was not my intention but I just needed to get it out, even if I wasn't very clear on the details. And I promise details will come.
The good news is that I am feeling so much more sure and certain about this decision that we have made. And now that we are moving forward, we hope that this leap will take us on one grand adventure. There are still many kinks and details to figure out so I'd be lying if I said everything is hunky-dory but for the most part we are doing good around here. We are feeling better. I am feeling better.
So since things are looking up, I'm going to leave you with a photo that I took this afternoon of a happy scene. Tulips (given to me by my aunt) in a glass pitcher, coffee in one of my favourite mugs and a homemade date square. A perfect Sunday afternoon.
I hope things are looking up in your life. I know January can be kinda rough on the spirits at times? What do you do to keep your spirits high during these long winter days?

  5. flowers always add a touch of beauty to life and my partner/friend/husband often leaves them for me on a counter and I add a photo of them to my flickr often so that on gloomy days I can look at them again. Right now we have a soft white to gentle pink amaryllis growing in my kitchen.

  6. Glad the smoke is clearing for you :)
Fresh flowers, sweets, and a day with nothing planned are what make me feel better.
    Sending you a hug...
