road trip adventures and Christmas already!!!!

Today was a day for rest and cuddles. My poor sweetheart had to get his first set of vaccines today and all I wanted to do was cuddle him to make him feel better. He did surprisingly well and right now is sleeping peacefully, all wrapped up on my lap.
Today may have been a quiet day but yesterday was a day for adventure! Winslow, Noah and I hit the road for a little trip to Buffalo NY and I went just a little bit crazy at Target. I think we must have spent like 2 hours in there and I was in shopping heaven! We ended up buying some really adorable Christmas ornaments, 2 table clothes (one Christmas one), some American chocolate bars, a sweater (for me), a dress (for me again) and a few other neat things.
We also walked through a gigantic mall, looked in Pottery Barn & Pottery Barn Kids and Williams Sonoma and got excited by looking at all the Christmas displays.
This little day trip was just what the doctor ordered for us. It was fun to get away and it started to get us in the mood for the holiday season.
I have to admit, I am one of those crazy types that gets out the Christmas music well before it ought to be taken out. I get excited about the planning of visits, the making of gifts, the parties and get togethers. I think I like the build up to the big day just as much as the actual day itself. I definitely get that from my mom. And now that I am a mom, Christmas takes on a whole new meaning to me. Now I get to share all the excitement of the season with little Noah. Traditions will be passed on and new ones will be made. Just listen to me already!
Oh and a little reminder, there is one more day to enter your name for my first ever giveaway! On Thursday I will draw a name and reveal the winner.
Hope you are having a fantastic week!
