This weekend we went back to Ottawa for our niece's baptism. It was especially exciting for me as I was asked to be her godmother. Although Ottawa is a long ways away and we only stayed for two days, it was a much needed visit home. It had been a long time since we had been back home and I needed my family fix. Badly.
In two short days we accomplished a lot. Hubby cleaned out his parent's garage, we celebrated my sis-inlaw's birthday and I saw my dearest friend Amy and met her very nice new boyfriend Anthony. We attended our niece's baptism, saw family from out of town, including my Mumma who came all the way from PEI and we (mom, sister, hubby and I) celebrated Earth Hour at a lovely coffee shop that had a live acoustic guitar player and lots of candle light. We did a huge family brunch on Sunday morning, said our goodbyes and hit the road.
It was so nice to be surrounded by family once again. I had my belly rubbed and talked to more than I can remember, everyone wants the baby to know who they are, it's very sweet. I am definitely a family gal and being home this weekend made me realize just how much I miss "home".
